NYC Upfronts
The Ask
During its annual television network upfront, Univision Communications Inc. (UCI) unveils its programming lineup for the upcoming year to advertising agencies and brand clients, partners, press, talent and UCI employees. Following the presentation, all guests will be invited to interact with Univision talent and brand activations during the lunch. Our company is asking for a fully designed concept and build out for each registration area while also providing an interactive lunch design and experience within budget. The lunch should naturally walk our clients through moments that relate to Univision properties and upcoming shows. The Univision brand should be boldly represented throughout the space while also incorporating distinct entertainment at Gotham Hall in Midtown.
The Solution
Registration is the first impression guests experienced at the Univision New York Upfront Meeting and we helped make it speedy. One of the most anticipated events of the year, 2000 guests attended, we worked to make a big impact while gracefully greeting each guest and welcoming them into the show. Our designers and crew helped build and install the step & repeat experience. Graphic designed and printed signage was paired with check in stations that showcased Univision’s Upfront campaign. FW personalized each moment along with polished and trained check-in staff, ushers and catering to make it all flow functionally. As part of the planning we provided floor plans, renderings, mood board, drawings, entertainment options, timelines and budget estimates. Univision Communications Inc.the leading media company serving Hispanic America, crushed it and our team was there to help serve its message to advertisers and partners in grand style with hundreds of hanging umbrellas in brand colors. The centerpiece was a massive logo sculpture we built then erected in the center of the main bar. The tulip shaped sculpture stood 19ft tall and was projected with video mapped content to shape. There was no shortage of excitement with the violinists and aerialists that graced the room and the marching band and sign twirlers we placed outside. It was a magical luncheon in Midtown full of florals, living walls, sprouting buffets and of course plenty of areas for exploration, games of chance, and photos.
