The Ask

Transform our 15th consecutive and annual Platinum Partner Incentive Program into an immersive showcase bringing together four brands: Sprint, Samsung, LG, and Kyocera.  Coordinate the production and design according to our schedule of meetings, breakouts, general session, happy hours, evening receptions,  and award show.  Provide a stage design and engaging program for invited guests to include entertainment, emcee,  engaging environments and ideas to enhance the weekend.  Provide custom designed experiences for sponsors for guests to visit on rotation.

 

The Solution

We are proud to have worked on the Platinum Partners program for several years recognizing dealers and winners on stage at the awards ceremony.  Our team brought solutions in Cancun, Mexico and worked to enhance the program when it came back to Monarch Resort in Laguna Beach where we opened with a highly customized, choreographed number.    The piece began unexpectedly when nearly a dozen waiters among the guests broke out into a choreographed dance.   A mashup of phone related songs was created over six decades and paired with video and dance.  An additional group of dancers took the stage where matching video content was paired as visuals on the center screen.  The style of dance changed to reflect each time period. Spokesperson Paul Marcarelli was revealed on stage.

 

Day 1

Gaining a deep knowledge from working previous years with the client in Cancun, Mexico and Laguna, CA, we understood the goals of the program.  Our responsive strategy would lay the foundation for day one success.  We created an inviting vibe that brought the four brands together into one cohesive welcome reception.  Drawing inspiration from Santa Barbara’s coastal shore, we engaged local artists and ingredients.  In addition to bringing in the burgeoning culture of Santa Barbara, California we sourced local entertainment, bands and dj’s.   Branded ping pong paddles, and floating die-cut pool logos in the pool complimented branded beverage stations and bars.   As you can imagine, the branded custom Ray Ban gifting station was a huge success.  

 

Day 2

For this year’s Award show, we were tasked with creating a more engaging program that went beyond the typical awards show.  Rooted in out-of-the-box, creative thinking, we set out to develop a “can’t-be miss” experience for the honorees.  Our team brainstormed ways to infuse LG & Samsung interactive elements and thoughtful entertainment into the awards dinner.  We secured THE SILHOUETTES® Golden Buzzer Act from America’s Got Talent to spread creative branded messages by inspiring the guests with messages of BELIEVE in yourself, IMAGINATION and POSITIVE aspirations.   We had Samsung and LG tablets on each table that not only displayed the dinner menu, but also created an engaging opportunity for guests to request drinks and trivia challenges throughout the dinner.  

 

Simultaneously, on day two we were tasked to design and produce four innovative breakout meeting rooms for Samsung, LG, Kyocera and Sprint.   Each meeting room was a custom built exhibit and distinct environments sized to each brand’s unique message and footprint.  For Samsung we designed custom carpeting, oversize Samsung 3D cutout letters.  The room was  wrapped in branded graphics and freestanding fabric frames that transformed the room. Blue “egg chairs” allowed guests to relax and listen to Samsung’s Milk Music.  

 

Day 3

Our creative team designed a multi-sensory evening reception overlooking the pacific ocean.  In addition to the evening reception, we created engaging branded happy hours for each of the sponsors.  The guests had the opportunity to unwind around the pool for the happy hours and play jenga that displayed Samsung Logo, live dj spinning in a custom branded Samsung bar, and volleyball in the pool.  Our team unloaded trucks and installed happy hours and moments around the hotel property for guests to enjoy and engage with the various brand partners.

 

For the evening reception our team wanted to ensure an immersive — not overwhelming – experience.  With that in mind we designed an organic beach inspired event with three 30ft high teepees that had lounge seating.  In addition, we designed and built custom reclaimed wood bars, wood dining tables, and Samsung branded DJ booth with a boho vibe.    A custom app was created using gamification for LG.  A local brewery expert and custom voting app added flavor to the beer tasting.
